Solenoid Control Unit
SCU-001 Controller
The SCU-001 controller provides an adjustable frequency, duty cycle, and ramp time to control air, nitrous/co2 and/or fluid flow/pressure (hydraulics). The adjustable features of this unit make it very unique as it provides a multi-programmable platform for controlling a solenoid to serve whatever purpose you desire. Unlike ecus and solenoid controllers with limited capability the SCU-001 unit offers a multi dimensional capability not available anywhere else.

A Trilogy of Gus Bohne Turbo Two-stroke Race Engines

A Trilogy of Gus Bohne Turbo two-stroke race engines
Gus Bohne of Salem, NH cut his teeth on turbocharging twostroke
engines back in the early eighties. He was a disciple of the infamous Mike Mazur
who was the first to market Aerocharger systems for two-stroke snowmobiles. All of
those early boosted two-strokes were fueled by pressurized carburetors—a black art to
this day! When I was involved for many years with Aerocharger we developed turbo kits6
for too many sleds, all fueled by blowing through 34-38mm carbs.
We tried desperately
to make larger body 40mm Mikuni carbs work with boost, since those were standard on
the bigger SkiDoo and Cat twins, but were unable to do so. So all the kits we developed
for those then-big twins back in the nineties had to have small body 38mm Mikuni carbs
included with them. When Gus told me a few years ago that he was blowing boost
through 44mm round slide carbs on the wickedly fast sleds he was turbocharging I was
amazed and impressed. Even with all of my dyno instrumentation and with excellent
turbo carb tuners Greg Bennett and Sean Ray trying their best, those big Mikuni carbs
were too difficult to create optimal fueling and we gave up on them.

Celica Rewrites the Record Books AGAIN!
This weekend at Englishtown’s New Jersey Raceway Park during the 9th
Annual Shakedown at E Town the Paradise Racing Celica rewrote the record
Books again!
With a solid outing under our belts the previous weekend, we arrived at
Shakedown with a ton of confidence and a fresh bullet under the hood.
After 2 rounds of qualifying and a cancelled third round, we were able to
stack the Paradise Racing Celica in the 5th qualifying position with a
7.23 @ 193mph!!! An amazing feat considering we were competing with 16 of
the fastest sport compact cars in the U.S. as well as some that were
imported from Puerto Rico just for this event!
The following Sunday morning and in front of over 30,000 fans, we ran the
first round of eliminations. We ran against the number 12th qualifier, a
Mazda 13B powered Toyota Starlet that was imported from Puerto Rico just
for this event. The lights came down and when the lights turned green the
Paradise Racing Celica never looked back!

After 7 long years of R&D, product development blood sweat and tears, we
arrive at our goal
The 6.98 @ 200mph pass has placed the Paradise Racing Celica in very very
unique company. The Paradise Racing Celica now holds the unique
distinction of being the first ever Modified ľ Chassis Toyota Powered car
in the world to reach the 6 second zone as well as the 200 mile per hour
zone! That 6.98 @ 200mph also now stands as the record for the fastest and
quickest Toyota “RZ” powered pass in the world!!!
Celica Rewrites the Record Books
This weekend at Englishtown's New Jersey Raceway Park during the 14th Annual Fall Nationals the Paradise Racing Celica rewrote the record books!
In the first round of qualifying the Paradise Racing Celica stopped the clocks with a 7.10 @ 197mph!!! This was enough to place us as the # 1 qualifier!!! Due to inclement weather and an impending curfew, 2nd round qualifying was canceled that evening and held the following morning. At 10:00am sharp, 2nd round of qualifying began and the big dogs came out to play!!! A grand total of 54 cars were trying to get into the 32 car field!!! But even then we were able to shine as we lowered our world record down to a 7.06 @ 198mph!!! This was good enough to place us as the number 3 qualifier!!!
That 7.06 @ 198mph now stands as the record for the fastest and quickest Toyota "RZ" powered pass in the world!!! Eliminations began and the Paradise Racing was on a roll wining the first to rounds and making it all the way to the L finals!!! In the end, a faulty water pump ended our race weekend but not before a clear message was sent out!!! The Paradise Racing Celica is headed to the 6 second zone!!!

In addition to video of Bill streaking by taken by a spectator, we are also fortunate enough to have for the first time ON-BOARD high definition video!! This is courtesy of AiMSPORTS, our sponsor for all our datalogging equipment. We will keep you all posted as new pictures and the video become available. Bill went 255.1 mph on Friday, October 22nd, then 270.7 mph on Saturday, October 23rd, then finally 278.6 mph on Sunday, October 24. Bill was only able to run once or twice a day, in the very early morning, due to the fierce crosswinds that raged from 10-25 mph as the days wore on. Thank you to all of our sponsors for your support this past year. Without all of YOU, WE couldn't go this fast and set all of the records this year that we have. It is because you provide us with the best parts and service in the world that we are able to be the fastest in the world. We couldn't have done it without all of you!
THANK YOU!

Jim Monson 6.94 at 201
In a 10.5 Outlaw world where Goliath seems to be kicking the crap out of David these days, Jim Monson is still rocking his small block single turbo combo and showing that the David's still have a few rocks up their sleeve. Though work has kept Jim busy he is still making progress and puts on a show everytime he pulls into the water box. At the NMRA Finals in Bowling Green this year a show Jim put on indeed running a 6.94 at 201. His first 6sec. pass! We caught up with Jim to see how it feels to pop that... mark! more here
